Market Deeping Wade just need three more points from their final Over 60's match at Whittlesey to gain promotion to Division 1 and they could still win the league if they better Barnacks final result. Well done to David and his team.

Royals are promoted to Division 2 in the Stamford League as Champions after their unfortunate relegation last season.

Regals have avoided the drop from Division 1 in the Stamford League after both Barnack and Bourne were beaten so they now trail behind Regals and cannot catch them.

The Club owe Peter and Muriel a huge vote of thanks for their efforts in completing the season with Regis and Douglas, many gave them little hope of completing the season but they have and before many of the others have. THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH

League News

This is going to be a big week for our teams in the Stamford League, Regals have home games against Bourne and Langtoft. The game against Bourne will go a long way in deciding our fate this season, at present we head our visitors by just 3 points going into the last few fixtures in a relegation fight. Then after Langtoft we meet Barnack again at home and they are just 7 points below us.

Meanwhile Royals can clinch promotion tonight (12/08) if they pick up a couple of points at Carlby and that will be enough to see them back into Division 2 next season after they were unfortunate to be relegated last season.

Daves Title

Royals Nearly Up

- by C Bines

Royals win again, this time they beat Oakham D at home by 72-38 and picked up another 10 points in their quest for the Division 3 title. This win means they have now won 7 matches in a row. They now have 130 points with 3 games left, Ketton lie in 2nd place on 123 points with Barnack in 3rd on 97. To be certain of at least second place they need just 8 points from their last 3 games, this assumes that Barnack win all of their final 4 games by a 10-0 scoreline.

Meanwhile Regals lost 8-2 at Ketton Kingfishers going down by just 1 point, they still have a fighting chance of staying up as they have home games to come against Bourne and Barnack who are in the relegation fight with the Regals.

Pairs
